What this service does

What you may notice
Signs you need this service
- Sticky or tacky feeling on the rim
- Peeling leather or loss of texture
- Dark stains from hand oils and sweat
What can cause the problem?
- Acids and oils from your hands gradually dissolve the protective top-coat of the leather.
- Hand sanitizers and lotions contain alcohols that cause the leather to peel prematurely.
- Constant friction during maneuvering wears down the grain, leaving the leather smooth and slippery.
From inspection to finish
How the work is carried out

Inspect and identify
We carefully mask off the steering wheel buttons, airbag, and dashboard to protect the surrounding electronics. The leather is then deep-cleaned with a degreasing agent to pull out embedded oils.

Repair the confirmed fault
Any scuffs or nicks are sanded down and filled with a high-durability leather compound. We then apply a specialized adhesion promoter followed by the factory-spec color.

Check the result
A heavy-duty tactile sealant is applied to provide maximum resistance against perspiration and friction. We finish by conditioning the leather to ensure it feels soft yet firm to the touch.
The exact procedure depends on your vehicle and inspection findings. A technician confirms the work before repair.
Why it matters
A deteriorating steering wheel can become slippery, potentially compromising your grip during emergency maneuvers. The degraded leather can also leave black residue on your hands and clothing.
Before you drive
Clean your steering wheel only with a damp microfiber cloth to preserve the new finish.
