Understand the repair
What this service does
Headliner replacement is the process of removing the overhead board, cleaning off degraded adhesive, and applying new fabric. This is a common requirement in the UAE due to extreme heat melting the original factory glue. A fresh headliner instantly modernizes the cabin and eliminates the mess caused by deteriorating foam.

What you may notice
Signs you need this service
- Fabric drooping or touching passengers' heads
- Orange foam dust falling from the ceiling
- Bubbles forming under the roof lining
What can cause the problem?
- Excessive cabin heat causes the thin layer of foam backing to crumble into dust.
- The adhesive bond between the fabric and the roof board fails under high temperatures.
- Leaking sunroof seals can introduce moisture that rots the headliner material from the top down.
From inspection to finish
How the work is carried out

Inspect and identify
We carefully remove all overhead consoles, grab handles, and pillars to extract the headliner board without creasing it. The board is then thoroughly scraped to remove every trace of oxidized foam and old glue.

Repair the confirmed fault
A high-temperature resistant adhesive is applied to both the board and the new foam-backed fabric. The material is meticulously smoothed by hand to prevent wrinkles around complex curves and sun visor recessed areas.

Check the result
The board is reinstalled into the vehicle, and all electrical components like dome lights are tested for proper connection. We check the alignment of the pillars and seals to ensure a tight, rattle-free finish.
The exact procedure depends on your vehicle and inspection findings. A technician confirms the work before repair.
Why it matters
A sagging headliner can obstruct the driver's rear-view vision, creating a significant road hazard. The falling foam particles can also cause respiratory irritation or stain your clothing and carpets.
Before you drive
Keep your windows slightly cracked when parked in direct sun to reduce the internal heat that kills adhesives.
