Ownership Lifetime Warranty (OLW) for Bodywork Paint and Dent Repairs – Non-Trade – Retail Customers Only
We are pleased to announce that our warranty for bodywork paint repairs and paintless dent removal (PDR) has been further improved and upgraded.
From August 2016 all qualifying repairs will carry an Ownership Lifetime Warranty (OLW), or 1-year warranty – whichever is longer.
An OLW will last for the whole duration that the vehicle upon which the repair is carried out is legally owned by the person who purchased the original repair. This warranty only lasts until the legal ownership of the vehicle is changed, and is not valid should the same person become the legal owner of the same vehicle again in the future.
A warranty claim can only be made upon receipt of a valid invoice for the original repairs, and the OLW does not apply to alloy wheel refurbishment (including diamond-cut), interior or glass chip repair. These types of repair are covered by our standard warranty conditions where applicable.
The warranty is deemed void where further damage has been sustained on any part of the panel (whether actually, or visually relating to the specific claim in question), or where it is believed that a matter outside of our control, such as lack of care, stone chips and unsuitable washing products or techniques have been employed. It should be noted that if a repair has been damaged or compromised in any way, the consequent failure of the paintwork may be visually different to the condition of the paintwork following the original damage. This in itself is not a warranty issue and as such all claims will be turned down.
Repairs to vehicles carried out for a franchised or non-franchised motor trader or insurer do not qualify for the OLW warranty. Please see the relevant warranty terms for Trade Customers.
